Vans says on track for double-digit growth Tuesday April 28, 7:59 am Eastern Time SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif., April 28 (Reuters) - Vans Inc., a retailer of active casual footwear, said Tuesday it was well on track for a third straight year of double-digit same-store sales increases. The company said in a statement it opened two additional outlet stores and same-store sales are running 10 percent ahead of last year, following an 18 percent comp store sales increase in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1997. Vans said it expects to open five new stores during the quarter.
