BTW vpelt, I think that is an excellent idea to contact emergency services in your area. The only thing is that chances are they won't know what the hell your're talking about. Y2k disaster is not something disaster planners have been made aware of I don't think. You might be in for a long teaching session to get them educated enough into taking action. Good Luck.
