DRAM to spare. You've merely reserved 10MB of it as a cache which is
fine if you aren't needing to run anything else. Remember the speed you
are seeing is only for stuff you've accessed before and is therefore in cache,
any new sites you look at may only be somewhat faster due to increased cache write
speed. Your drives are the slowest part of your computer second only to your
keyboard. Thats why I run caching on my drives.
By the way - you're going to lose all of it when you power down, so don't
freak out when its slower again on powerup! If I were you and obviously DRAM
rich, I'd go ahead and enable some of the disk cache again anyway. It may not
get filled until after a lot of surfing, but it wouldn't hurt.
