I agree, at first glance (as much as I know) the claims seem groundless. If the Dr had a consulting agreement in place, this agreement would have outlined compensation for future profits from certain products or product lines.

Else, the Dr was compensated for services rendered, as agreed. Up to the point of signing the consulting agreement, he must have known, or had good reason to know, that SGD would derive a benefit from the services he performed, for the price he agreed to. He should have bargained for a share of it before the contract was signed.
