rudedog --- I agree with you ---CPQ with 7.3 billion and DEC with 3 billion --- The big concern is that CPQ is performing so poorly and I have yet to see management to do a whole to get CPQ back on track
1) inventory adjustment is a big deal -- I see steps to reduce this overhang and to keep the product fresh with thr BTO model but is production capacity too high with CPQ having the ability to overproduce in the third and fourth qtr --- should not some of this be shutdown permanent and reduce cost ?
2) DEC has sold two of it's business --networking and the chip foundry to INTEL ---doesn't CPQ have business that should be on the block ---that are not a good fit
