Helmig was a financial Group Director at IBM for many years primarily
in the mainframe business area. He took a package a couple of years
ago. Very smart person but lacking in personality and charm so he
was not a "favorite son" so to speak. But he is well wired and I
would assume he has access to places that other wall street analysts
would not even know about so his comments on IBM carry weight. I have
seen him make major blunders on some other issues though.
