Been there done that.

I traded S&P futures for a year and did extremely well using my simple Moving Averages, Stochastics and Momentum.

Then I went overseas and asked my broker to transfer ALL my money to my bank account where I had line of credit so I would not have to pay interest while I was gone for 6-weeks. He suggested that I put the money in Bonds weher I would earn more than my interest payment.

Stupidly I agreed. Then he cam up with other gimmmicks (delta neutra trades in Bonds and S&P) etc. kept calling me at my overseas number. At the end of the 6-weeks he made over $6000 in commisssions and I lost 45% of my capital. i am still fighting it.

So I went back to trading stocks and did quite well again using the same real time data and MA, Stoch, Mom. Then i read about EW. Lost my shirt. Now I am trying to recover and learn EW at the same time.

Still have to read books on EW although I have always had this aversion to reading manuals (tech) till I run into a problem. Then I get teh manual out and study.

Keeps my buys and out of trouble. And I enjoy it too.
