I've been teaching my older daughter how to play, but she doesn't have any more time than I do. Once the twins are a little older, I'll get them involved and then sit back and watch the fur fly.

Good idea. My father swore his parents only had four children because that way they could pretty much be assured of a fouth for bridge. They made all the kids learn by the time they were eight, and played every evening. (Well, okay, we're talking the 20s here, no TV.)

The two girls loved it, and played all their lives. The boys were less interested. Though in all fairness my mother was absolutely hopeless at the game. And taht's annoying. I started substituting for her at an early age.

But it doesn't always work. I have a friend whose parents are nuts about games. They taught her to play all sorts of things when she was very young, and made her play regularly. For money. Her allowance. She always lost. She hated it.
