I am getting old, and my memory is not as good as it once was (it once was phenomenal). The way I remember it is this: I had just learned of Instant Messenger's availability to nonAOL subscribers. I thought it was fun, and told cAPSLOCK about it by e-mail. I had never met or talked with cAPS in person or by telephone. We began talking by Instant Messenger. cAPS told me he was very impressed by Marty's due diligence. His words were something like this, "Marty certainly has done his due diligence." I asked, "Have you ever checked out anything Marty said?" He hadn't, and I hadn't either. cAPS said, "I just looked up HL Gruy, and they have an office in Dallas. I think I'll call them up." I said, "DO! And tell me what they say." With that, cAPS placed a call to Gruy, got RR on the telephone, and told me what he said as soon as he said it. I think a couple of calls were eventually made, and it turned out exactly as we all now know. NAMX, they said on the second call, IS a client, but there was not enough data from the Kansas wells for any reports to have been made. That is, there were no Gruy reports. Marty was saying at that time the reports were in and were more than phenomenal. Everyone agrees now on these facts: Marty said the reports were in, whereas actually they were not, because there was not enough data to make any reports. cAPS was the first to uncover these facts. And the way it came about is exactly as I have related here (unless my memory is playing tricks and I don't know it.). I was and am a stockholder, and I believe cAPS was and is too. Some conspiracy! Some "cause" of NAMX's decline!
