Tax loss selling in Novell

Dear Jim, if anyone kept Novell through this tech stock rally in which Novell DECLINED SUBSTANTIALLY while most other tech stocks went up then that person is either (1) a long term holder of the stock like many of us with no intention of tax loss selling, or (2) has so many other losses they cannot convince themselves to dump even with the rally pressuring them.

Anybody that wanted to dump Novell to balance their portfolio or to reinvest limited capital would have already done it earlier in this rally. I mean look at the opportunities. If a tech stock investor can't make money in this market he or she should give up on investing in tech stocks.

So your premise that a pop will be dampened by tax selling is somewhat flawed I think.

The tax loss selling has already occurred, thats why it is old news on the street.
