Here are some of my thoughts after the cc.

GAEO posted a 94.5% increase in revenues for the 2nd Q (with XRX revenues taken out of last year.)

The loss contracted from $-1.08 in the 2nd Q last year and $-.16 in the 1st Q to $-.09 in the 2nd Q 98.

The loss seems to have flowed from three sources:
1. Soft sales by Sofamore Danek, rampup going well but slower than expected.
2. Exclusive relationship with PPSI and transition from other sales reps dropped sales by $750,000.
3. Heavy engineering costs for new products.

Many exciting prospects were discussed:

The Blockbuster product is a Endoscope platform on which 7 patents are in process. No marketing agreement has yet been struck but it is expected in the fall. They are talking to an international medical device company that would put its' name on the product and support it use and assist in developing proceedures.

A marketing arrangement with a company to rep the GAEO products to hospitals is in the works and will be rolled out after the marketing to physicians is shipping at full potential this fall. Hospital sales will likely be as large or larger than sales to doctors offices.

The 1310 nm amplifier product is set to launch in the fall and meaningful sales start in October to November 98. This is big news. Up til now I have totally discounted any contribution from the amplifiers. It looks like this is a real business and not just pie in the sky.

Sooner or later the market will pick up on this fine technology company.

JMHO.

Time will tell.
