"Warm fuzzies."
Well, not quite, but here's something to think about for you and all the other Novell diehards (if there are any):
Last July when AMD when down below 10, the AMD thread sounded much like this one.
AMD started that "AMD at Work" crap...er...advertising last month.
The stock hit 19 3/4 today.
Those of us who loaded up on AMD at 10 were called losers by the Intel fudders on the AMD thread, much like the MSFT fudders are doing here.
Management was getting regular net-lashings, much like the Novell management is getting here.
AMD employees were sticking up for the company and telling us better times are coming, much like Jon and some of the others are doing here.
The moral to this story:
Novell will shine again.
Someday the fudders on this thread will eat...er...crow!
I haven't lost interest in Novell and I still believe it's a good investment; for Novell's investors who remain patient, your day will come, just as it has for the AMD folks.
When the stock goes into the dumper like this, those paper losses get a little aggravating so I just put them in the hidden part of the portfolio, just like I did with AMD, and today when I checked it for the first time in awhile, I got a very nice surprise; I knew that was coming but I expected it to take a few quarters longer.
Maybe I'll recheck Novell around 12/96 and I don't mean for a tax-loss write-off. I've had a few stocks that I almost did that with and I was glad I held on because every one of the has paid off so far, mainly because I don't buy junk and Novell is a long, long way from being junk.
Despite what some of the carrion-eaters have to say about it!
Hang in there...better days are coming. |
