Caere introduces new OCR products (11/6/96) Caere (Los Gatos, CA, www.caere.com) is delivering the next generation of its OCR products. The company is touting its M/Series II as having better accuracy and performance than previous versions. With the new line, Caere is targeting customers who need to capture legal, tax, government and other such crucial information in imaged form. The firm points to 50% accuracy improvement over previous hardware accelerated engines, as well as features not available before now. The M/Series II are being made available through Law Cypress Distributing Company and Tech Data.
