STAR markets its services to small and medium-sized long-distance companies without international transmission capabilities, as well as to larger companies seeking lower rates and overflow capacity. The company operates international gateway switching facilities in New York and Los Angeles and holds ownership positions in 5 digital undersea fiber-optic cables. Either switched services or wholesale long-distance. STRX has been very successful with the gateway switches. I still need more information on what those are and how they work, exactly. Miller
