This stock will get a boost when the Market Makers are ready to let it happen. As I've mentioned before there has been massive buying of the stock (10,000 - 500,000) blocks on a daily basis at and above the ask since the analyst conference. If I were a Market Maker why would I want to release any good news about the stock until I have accumulated large amounts that I can later distribute. In addition, the Market Makers are purchasing large blocks at the inside bid. Why would they do this if the stock were to fall any lower? They wouldn't. They control the price. If there is any doubt as to whether Market Maker control exist look at trading days leading up to the last quarterly options expiration. Despite beating earnings expectations ORCL and large blocks (10,000 to 100,000) being bought, the price could not break through 29.5. It did the following week.

In addition, there are some people on this thread who present the idea that ORCL has it's own personality and trades independent of other stocks. These people should take a look at the Nasdaq 100 futures and observe how their trading affects ORCL. Also everytime I have noticed bad news coming out before the bell regarding MSFT just about every tech stock trades down. The good ones will recover the day after the bad news as did LU, DELL, and ORCL last Friday.

Happy trading,

dave
