Hey Benjamin, I will also check out your Natural Law Party site. I am in favor of everything you said, except I would prefer a national sales tax, exempting food, rather than a flat tax. There would still be a lot of cheating with a flat tax by people hiding income, which demoralizes the honest people. Under a sales tax, let people earn as much as they want. When they spend it, the tax is paid. If they don't spend it, it will go into savings, thus lowering interest rates for those who would borrow it for new businesses and houses etc. Also, with a sales tax, you pay as you go. When things got tight, you would tend to spend less, and thus pay less tax.
