I emailed Xybernaut and am delighted with their response! Here are some details about the May 12-13 International Conference on Wearable Computing, which I haven't seen posted elsewhere:
(For those new here, the conference will highlight the wearable computer industry's hardware, software applications, developments, and trends.) At the upcoming conference General Motors will be speaking about a recent project involving their auto dealers and maintenance technicians.
Mercedes Benz will be talking about using wearables on the factory floor for trouble shooting and re-calibration of robot arms.
Federal Express will be talking about combining wearables and wireless communications in their organization.
The Navy will be talking about a translator to let doctors interview refugees in Bosnia, and
Virginia Tech Architecture Department will be describing an application for construction sites.
Keynote speaker: co-founder of MITs Wearable Computing Group.
Luncheon speaker: invented hypertext.
Dinner speaker: former Governor of Virginia, George Allen.
They'll have more than 60 speakers discussing how to boost productivity with wearables and a host of exhibitors showing off their new products!
This is much bigger than I thought it would be, even after reading the April 6th press release, announcing the co-hosts would be the President and CEO of Xybernaut, Mr. Edward G. Newman, and the President of Sony Digital Products, Mr. Yasuo Ono....and that Xybernaut's products will be demonstrated...or that the conference is across the street from XYBR worldwide headquarters! Their website has other details: xybernaut.com.
I've had a position a long time, bought more recently, and am more excited than ever about the future for XYBR. |
