>> SYQT started with small loses too. <<

** Hmmm, would that have been the $33 million loss in Q1 96? Or the
** $55 million loss in Q2 96? Or perhaps the $41 million loss in Q3 ** 96?

** I normally respect your opinions and research, but it looks like
** this statement is about as well-researched as a Rocky-ism.

Actually I was referring to SYQT's 16.7m loss in 1995, right when
the IOM craze was just starting. Also, SYQT's $33m loss in Q1 1996
is not far off from Iomega's 19m loss in Q1 1998. EPS looks worse for SYQT at the time because SYQT's shares outstanding was only about 14million.

If IOM had 14m shares outstanding the loss would have been about
a 1.25 / share.

Now we know the real reason for the split!!! To make the loss look
insignificant. 18m is nearly the same loss as SYQT posted a couple
quarters last year (and matches a couple in 1997).

Shoot, lets split this stock 3 more times! EPS loss would only be
about $.01 / share!

I'm rather surprised at your response, Mike. Thanks for the 'soft
toss'.
