LOL hey I am colorfulif nothig else for an old guy.

I got that nick name when I was 20Years old. Iwas unemolyed by the local and my first wife was pregnant with our first child and we had no insurance. So we needed $350,00 for the clininc.

I got up the next morning and was walking down town Atlanta looking for a commerical construction compnay that might need a laborer. I kept getting offers but no money. Well I was irriated and I saw a drywall truck full of drywall and the foreman was screaming at the driver.

I walked over and discover that though it was 90 degrees outside the elevator shaft was the only way to get the drywall up to the 11th floor. NO ONE was getting in that elevator from the delivery truck and the union guys we not either HOWEVER the delivery would take it to the elevator and the union guys would take it off.

I ask the foreman how many sheets there were and it was about 800 or so. I told him I would get in the elevator and take the drywall from the delivery guys and stand it up in the elevator take the elevator up and unload it to his crew for .50 a sheet.

He told me there were two to a bundle and he was not busting the bundle and that he would agree but I had to do each and every piece. (My first verbal contract) If I was not able to do this he would not pay me.

I agreed and got int he elevator and man 4 guys were running drywall to me. When I got up on the floor the crew was running at me grabbing as fast as I was getting out. I was cussed, yelled at and all.

Lucky the sweat shop gave me a rest on the travel up and down. I would stop off on anther floor and get a drink of water. Anyway the foremna was amazed at how fresh I was and not dehydrated and I did every single piece and broke not one.

When I was done he walked over to me and said, "You are a wormy fella aren't you?" He paid me in cash and told to be back the next day to see how well I could hang rock for $1.00 a board.

Sorry but that is how I got the name and I was christened and it stuck.
