Yes, Russ re: "efforts to trim inventory are going very well". I can tell you that Lehman's opinion/decision critera (and likely others re CPQ) will become a 'buy' from 'neutral' dependent on their CPQ clearing out the channel. I suspect that Mr. Pfeiffer is being honest, that things are working themselves out, and have been getting fixed over the last few months. Look for the street to warm to Compaq over the next few days with upgrades.

(Good management would have implemented fixes over the last couple of months, and it is surprising to me that they have been effective so quickly -- but, that is what you get with Compaq -- great management).
