The reason that we are #14 in terms of healthy nations is because we eat like slobs & don't exercise at all. Take me for example. Last Dec., I am not proud to say that I was 245 @ 35% bodyfat. A lardass so to speak. Nothing healthy about it. Believe me. After exercising routinely and learning proper nutrition, I now weigh 205 @ 15% bodyfat. I will be 200 @ 10% by Christmas. That means losing 60pds of fat & gaining 20. Now, I must not gain this weight back as 98% of people do in this country. Yo-Yo dieting is unhealthy. MUSCLE burns calories. Not starving yourself and limiting your calories. I now eat 5-6 times a day. In smaller proportions but I have more energy than I know what to do with.
It seems as though our society is far more polarized than others. I believe that this is a reflection of our western beliefs which I happen to like.
Shit, did it again......
ANCR in my opinion won't get down to that level again unless the market goes down the toilet. The product, fibre channel is gaining momentum in a hurry, and with gig-ethernet and increasing bandwidth requirements occurring now, it should take off soon. Do you remember Independence Day. This required a tremendous amount of high-speed transmission, but they also needed more bandwidth to speed it up even more. Bandwidth basically can make the possibilities limitless. Remember fiber optic cable. One strand = 30 tons of twisted copper pair. Get where I am going? ASIA will be the main benefactor of this technology in the short-term. Their infrastructure is just emerging since they virtually have none when compared to the U.S market which is highly developed, but so much $$$ has been invested that conversion here is slower than overseas. As for Eastern Europe, $$$$ is king and right now it is scarce over there right now.
I am scared to death of CHINA. A huge, young population rapidly evolving technologically and they will have a huge market if it ever opens up. They will be the only other superpower in the 21st century besides the U.S.
I learned a little fact today. Texas, based on GDP, has the 10th largest GDP of any economy in the world. The #'s come from Nations Bank. They probably manipulated them somehow, but it wouldn't suprise me with NAFTA and all.
