Yes, I heard about the sale. Was there a vote by senior SI members?<G> And I haven't checked into the details of the plan yet, but how will this affect those who have been here from day 1? I never paid and hope it doesn't come to that.

Re:I'd be very interested in any insights you may have gained
from your trip. Is there life outside the stock market?

I saw some scenes which could have been mistaken for Calcutta. Even so, the people appear to be happier than most of the people I know. Americans are for the most part, whining crying babies. I have learned to be much more appreciative of everything I have. In the future, you won't hear me crying about a point loss here or there. Scenes like I saw change you permanantly in many ways. I only wish more people could see what I saw to appreciate life in these United States.

BTW, while I was recuperating, in my hazy conscience, I thought about the idea of a PRIA/AMAT merger. AMAT needs to get into some of the faster growing segments and fab automation is surely one of them. In addition, buying the leader at this time would still be incredibly cheap when compared to other groups in the equipment sector. Any thoughts?

Regards,

Brian
