John, forensic accounting is beyond the scope of the dynamic duo. I do know some accounting gimmickery but I do not know the differences in Financial accounting v. Income tax reporting. It is true that capitalizing vs expensing will enhance earnings -look at Fine Host (FINE) ho ho ho . I have not heard this issue raised before. My feelings about IBM are when I see a pile of crap I don't need to poke it to see if it smells. ha ha ha sorry to disappoint you with a dull razor response. Mike
