I would have thought that this would have given us a nice boost today. I guess not. What is the deal with ORCL? It's got no strength these days. I guess the analyst day really must have sucked.

The software/hitech investment community bets on INNOVATION. Oracle has none. From major, expensive failures like Sedona and NC, to vaporware like NCA, and catastrophes like Applications and Consulting, the investment community is convinced that Oracle cannot reinvent itself. While the competition surges ahead with great innovation and customer-led strategies, LJE continues to drive Oracle into oblivion.

Oracle had a monopoly in a rising market with its RDBMS. Those days are over. It's time for Oracle to return to being a db/tool boutique, and retire all other businesses. The IC will react positively to such a bold, courageous move. It is a sad story for investors, but you need to "kill-your-children" and cut your loses with the Oracle canine.
