Merrill is so screwed up in their ratings that I would not be surprised if they were referring to the small contract Ciena got from the lec in the northeast about two weeks ago. That contract was for the same amount cited in the briefing you cc'd and also included an award to Lucent.

I suspect (and hope) the award announced today is a number of times larger than that.
