Craig,

I really doubt that they are selling that many switches (1875 at $16K a piece) to Sequent. I will have to recheck some of the research I have at home about Sequent total sales and the percentage of sales as hardware. The other obvious question is how much of that figure is already included in Brocade's statement earlier about total FC ports are already shipped and what current demand is. I think if you gauge demand by how fast FC switch implementation is going, it is not strong right now.

I hate to disagree with Ken, but I think the scales are still tipped to the Brocade side. First of all you can't say "without Sequent". Secondly, in my opinion and in the opinion of several others on this board they have Sun. Thirdly, many believe STK is leaning in their direction which might give them an inroad at IBM.

Considering the above paragraph, you might wonder why I am still very long Ancor. There is too much uncertainty now for me to not be long. I think Ed said it earlier this week, it's coming down to the wire. Compared to Ken and Cal, I am a casual observer with extremely limited access to the right information. I am betting that they are right.

George
