ps years ago I worked on their stockholders system..and guess what.. no bugs were planted.. I have a very close friend who has been in programming for more years than he probably cares to remember.. he said they were really forced to save space..and most thought that by the year 2000 those programs would be obsolete.. so don't think it was at all a conspiracy..just optimism --most of the programmers back then that I knew were liberal arts.. ie music majors..math majors..literature..great humans!
