marc: DRQ went public a week or two before last October's dark days. They have a thread here at SI. They make subsea wellheads and related drilling and production equipment, and seem to be doing it pretty well. As near as I can estimate, their largest competitor would be Cooper Cameron. Am long a miniscule number of shares which I bought on IPO day. (@ $37, so I'm still waiting to get back above water, but wouldn't sell the stock on a bet. I expect very good things from DRQ. Plus, if the consolidation trend continues, they'd make a great fit with some other outfits...CXIPY? HAL?) I don't know anything in re a buyout, but I can dream, can't I? Lee
