A lot of information is inaccurate on the internet. MMs are brokers too. they have clients that they trade their stock for so if you sell to a Market maker and they have a client wanting to buy they at the ask. And if you want to sell the the market maker sells to someone at the ask. One advantage of an MM account but biy they are expensive on commissions. GB
