*AV*--VIAS is on radar and I am familiar with the company. I am just looking for some reason to regain confidence in ZITL, DDIM, VIAS and some of the other fallen heroes of the Yr2000 game.
SYNT, ALYD and a few others have shown some promise from a trading perspective even though ALYD totally disappointed me today. Thenumbers released were good in my book but led to a dramatic drop in its price. I was "forced" to buy some $15.5 as a defensive move to cover some of the ~$22 shares that still are part of the portfolio. As much as it lowers the average cost of those shares, it raises the cost basis of the sub $10 to $11 shares.
There was a short announcement by a Senator from UT on one of the news stations yesterday, stating that the YR2000 Crisis is no laughing matter and needs to be taken real seriously by the US Gov't to ensure entitlement recipients get their checks without any interruptions. He also stated they were behind the eight ball and that all that needs to be done will not get done in time. Therefore, prioritization of projects is what they need to focus on.
Then again, Viagra was talked about on 5 different programs last. Pfizer probably hasn't spent a dime on advertising yet since it is getting all this free coverage<GGG>. The new wonder drug for men and it seems maybe, for certain women.
I can see it all now, the modern day anti-version of salt pepper in the guys morning corn flakes. Powdered Viagra sprinkled onto the man's salad at the restaurant while the aphrodisiac is laced into the ladies drink. Whatta society we might be living in down the road, where the only safe place might be at the local drive through fast food joint<GGG>
