Just got back from the Dentist!

In discussion with him about the prospect of laser in dentistry, particularly his practice, he mentioned that he attended a sales meeting just after the Premier Laser product was approved. His reaction was very negative...too limited: 1. Can't be used on metal. 2. Can't be used for deep drilling due to nerve damage from heat. 3. Can't be used for under 18 year-olds...(FDA limitation?)

When the group of dentists attending this presentation asked about the advantages of the product, the answer was that it was primarily a marketing ploy for showing how modern and gentle your practice is... emphasis on the needleless drilling. The reaction was not positive!

My dentist knows one other that he says "isn't a good dentist" anyway, who bought one of the PREMIER lasers because he always gets the latest thing...and the machine is in storage...!

When I described the Millenium and the hydro-kinetic technology, my dentist seemed interested. I told him to keep his ears open for the pending FDA approval...that the machine is in use in EU...

Questions: 1. Does Millenium adequately counter the limitations listed above? 2. What do you think the marketing barriers are to the Millenium due to the inept and inadequate marketing by PREMIER?

Comments appreciated...

Thanks,
Fred
