Gotta watch out for those unexplained reasons.<g>
(Maybe it was a reaction to Jim Grant's "Bearfest"
in NYC yesterday). Or pick any of the following...

(1) Average daily price of NYMEX crude from month of
March to month of April increased around 8% annualized.
Should negatively impact April PPI released in May.

(2) Housing sales and average housing prices are climbing.

(3) Consumer confidence is very high, suggesting willingness
to purchase durable goods will continue.

(4) M3 continues to grow at 11% rate with M2 growth now
approaching 8%, much faster than M3 in Germany(5%),
France(4%) or Japan(4%)

(5) Higher relative US interest rates will be needed to offset
growing competition from EMU as a reserve currency.

(6) Rising gold prices are beginning to signal uncertainty
and dissatisfaction with US monetary policy. Fed and Ag
do monitor this market for feedback.
