Dear Bob:

>>>>Would the Lord with hold a blessing to keep some of
His flock close?"<<<<<

I agree with Emile, in a heartbeat.!! If that is what it takes. The lust of this world is very powerful; don't ever underestimate it.

That said..Rom 13:8 owe nothing Prov 22:7 The rich rule over the poor. Matt 18:25 the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

By going into debt we withhold our own blessings. If you have not already come up with a get out of debt strategy. Do it. To make it right, the Lord will order everything you have to be sold to repay what you owe. If that is what it takes, I'll add that.!

Take a war like mentality where your family finances are concerned. Financial bondage can put you in divorce court, marriages break up every day because of it. Make joint decisions where your family finances are concerned. The devil is out to put you into slavery, and what is worse, God has said He will assist in selling out everything you have if that is what it takes to make sure that all your debts are repaid.

Financial pressures are the leading cause of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as sickness and even suicide. Now does that sound like part of the gospel of Christ ?

I believe that a very select few of God's people will listen to Him as He admonishes his people to get out of debt. But for those who will listen to Him I can hear him say right now " I will make an example of them ". Let God set you up as an example. For those in addiction to drugs God would say. Before I can bless you the way I should we need to erase your drug addition. In the same way, to a Christian in debt(which is MORE addictive than drugs) he is saying
the same thing.

Nothing personal here at all, a close personal family member of mine ( did I put that delicately enough ) ran up a large credit card bill that has MY family straddled with repayment right now. So it's in every household in some way shape or form. If nobody else listens to this it sure has done me a lot of good.. if nothing else than to remind myself that God wants me to at the bare minimum have a PLAN to get out of debt. If I don't have a plan then I couldn't be too serious could I about getting into His will where my finances are concerned.. In Christ.gregor
