Yes I beleive they can fend off INTC on low end of the market to some degree, but they do realize that that is not where they want to be anyways and they are focusing on the high end market. The end to end solution becomes extremely attractive to small and small/medium size companies who do not have the sophisticated IT staff, and therefore coms becomes an attractive partner. Layer 3 switching and 10/100/1000 based solutions will start taking off towards the end of this year and coms is positioned very well in that market. CSCO will admit to your face that they are way behind and are playing catch up in this area.COMS has had probelms with USRX, and that is what's killing them right now..but with their cable modems and the v.90 standard, things should improve on that front as well..we'll just have to wait and see..as I have stated in the past it would take a while for coms to come out of the dump they are in now...we have gone thru 2.5 quarters and probably and 2 more to go..
