Eh, White Shoes, it's me. Did you short DVNTF in April?

As far as MSFT is concerned. The story goes like this:
(a public television channel did a documentary on Bill, channel 9 San Francisco CA)
Bill and the boys needed to develop a quick 'n' dirty OS, and FAST!
So they "bought" (more like borrowed) some simple, quick 'n' dirty code from this guy (forgot his name). They made slight modifications to prevent it from being an exact copy. This was the beginning of MSFT.
In the technology arena this is common place. I see no issue here. The bottom line is:
Did Dan E. ever at any time receive money or goods for services rendered?
I'm sure ole Danny boy worked on a piece of the technology, and received payment or goods for it. Sounds like he's just a little miffed because he received no recognition for what he did, or for that matter wanted a bigger piece of the action.
Who cares if the lawsuit goes through? In that case DVNTF will need to fork out some dough, big deal. It's not like they would need to pay it right away. (i.e. a couple of years from now). Even still, how much longer can Dan E. afford to keep paying legal fees? It is painfully obvious the judge can not stop DVNTF from using the technology. Even if he did, what's DVNTF going to do, give it back!? (it's called copy it, make slight modifications, then market it) This whole lawsuit ordeal is laughable. Dan E. will in no way impact the ability to sell their product.
