I noticed you've also been a Waterhouse customer, and wondering if you (or others) had any guesses as to why my inside bids have moved the spread at Datek, but never seem to at Waterhouse?

Nasdaq market makers are required (as of last year) to display your inside bids. Which broker you use shouldn't matter.

Note: This does not apply to odd-lot orders.
