Art, thanks for the thorough analysis on the store front. It sounds like most of the stores are small but seem to have a following due to the ability to trade in CD's. I know the store I go to called "Compact Disc Warehouse" (not the same) has used CD's and it's one of my favorite places to trade in CD's. If you trade in and buy a new CD you get $7 towards the purchase. Let's face it music tastes change and it nice to clean out your collection and buy new things. Other stores do not offer this, or if they do they give you pennies to take your old CD's. I think this is the edge that CDWI may have. The fact that they have a computer system that can value old CD's seems to be good practice. They know what the market is and this allows them to not get stuck with bad CD's nobody wants which I imagine could be a problem. My feeling is if they can turn this concept to the internet they could also have a big advantage. Most of the CD stores on the internet are ok but I don't think you save that much money. If you could get a used CD for less, and they had many different titles in stock it could be a gold mine. Most people would rather buy a used CD because one, the quality is the same and it's no big deal. Worst case is you replace the plastic case for .25 cents. I think it could be big and I hope that is the way they go. Figure they would need to post prices they would offer CD's, and people could then just send them in and use it for credit to buy other CD's. Gee maybe I should forget the stock and start this business myself.
Ron
