Gregory;

Thanks. I have always had difficulty believing in evolution. I understand and accept natural selection forces, but creation in the big sense does not compute at all. The fact that the universe is expanding an cooling would seem to prove that it had some kind of beginning, but how it could start from nothing makes no sense to me.

<<For what it's worth, I don't know whether there really is free will, but I believe in believing in free will. And I believe in Evolution.>>

Your statement about believing in free will leads me to an interesting issue. If evolution has molded our minds to think as a reaction to the external world, how can we trust that mind. Animals react in terms of instinct to survive, but few would think that reaction would lead to any kind of truth. While our thoughts may be more complex, if they are only a reaction to years of environmental pressure, we could well be deceived. What do you think?

Respectfully - DLL
