Lisa, I won't get into an argument over order or chaos. We have different backgrounds when it comes to using those words. Chaos theory is one area I can think of which attempts to identify trends in confined random behavior. The first nine or so paragraphs at this url are nicely written on the subject... rb-trading.com

As to news "..what I do know is that the news is what will determine that....and that is the only "order" I see." The news certainly pullsand pushes the market but I don't think it determines the market by a long shot. Stocks trade on information, if its wrong, it corrects.. if its confirmed it accelerates until there's opportunity on the other side of the news.. etc.

And the selling isn't done with.. but it'll take a bulldozer to roll the momentum <g>
