Hi, Spots

Your technical knowledge never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for the good, valuable info, as usual.

I will follow up on your suggestion tomorrow and contact everyone I know. Do you have any idea who competes with World Com for offering dedicated frame relay lines to people like me?

Oh, yes, the line I was discussing earlier is 56k, but they said only "guaranteed" at something like 36k. But they say the time for my data to get to and from me would be much quicker.

The techs at CyberTrader say their software was developed to run with 90 msec connection times (something like that). Lately my ISDN connection to them has gone through 16 points or so, each with times from about 90 - 800 msec, far too slow. I don't know how I have lasted this long. They say the frame line, even at 56k, would get me times on the order of 10 msec or so, way below what is needed.

How to you feel about my getting the dedicated frame relay line? Would you do it? And, does M.B. Trading offer or require the same? If not, how can they get by otherwise? Or, do their clients have problems similar to mine?

I have talked with several traders who mentioned having more internet connection problems this week than usual. But I expect things to only get worse in that respect. So, I suppose I will soon have to take the plunge myself.

Incidentally, the World Com sales rep told me that he presently has about 60 or so CyberTrader clients using their frame. I wonder if that's true or not.

Thanks, again, Spots for your information.

Bill
