Well Mathon, I'd give much more credence to a HWP buyout over INTC. Intel I believe will always want to maintain an arms length association with all companies that build systems. It also could be argued that now that there is no cold war, unke sam isn't going to fund super computing like he used to. It may take a 40 plus billion dollar company to have the hutspa to keep it up. One could argue that, gee there will only be one super computer company, however good old IBM can be put up as a genuine supercomputer company. It's easy to fool politicians.
Let's say once upon a time INTC really didn't know how to build the next generation of chip. DID Rocket man brokered the interlectual property deal so that pigs could fly.
Now Rocket man in two months has brokered a interlectual property deal with intel getting ??? Hmmmm, Num 2 man becomes little num 1 man, greases the skids and becomes new big num 1 man. Life's a circle.
What's the distance between INTC, SGI, and HWP. and the sermon on the mountain view.
REMEMBER,,,,, An Intel processor is a terrible thing to infect with a borg virus. |
