Don't bet o ADSL.

I believe the telcos are afraid of killing their own children and are moving too slowly into the high speed access arena.

The cable cos are moving very swiftly to introduce cable modems.

I have had mine for only 3 weeks now. The first week was a problem, since they were just setting up the network in my city. However, the last 2 weeks have been excellent. 500kB per second downloads are common (14.1 MB in less than 32 seconds). $150 to install and $40 per month, including ISP.

ADSL, in my area, is 2 to 3 times as expensive, nowhere near as fast and you must still pay for an ISP.

while the telcos attempt to protect high margin ISDN, T1, T3, and install high margin ADSL, the cable cos will eat their lunch.

Just an opinion,

Happily enjoying the fast ride,

Ira
