45 degree dipping shear zones are not expensive to open pit mine nor do they have higher stripping ratios than vertical. 30 degree dip would have a depth cut off. But not 45 degrees.

Much of what Crystallex is currently drilling will be underground mined.

Dome built no towns in Venezuela. It did oust legal garimpeiros from property. A garimpeiro has panning rights in river systems whether or not he has title.

The government allowed the garimpeiro to operate for years and then under CVG unceremoniously ousted them in favour of foreign business like Dome mines (who they hoped would pay bribes) and created the poverty. The government created the situation. They are responsible. Dome mines who had and has the unbelievable arrogance to co-operate with these corrupt administrators bears the responsibility. All our major Canadian companies in South America by personal admission to myself in the past twenty years have operated by paying enormous gratuities to corrupt politicians to keep them in business, win the election and steal the good properties for themselves. This comes directly from the lips of former directors of the companies, specifically Noranda, Cominco, Inco and Phelps Dodge. Whether or not they thought they "HAD" to do it is no excuse. They sowed the seeds of their own destruction that was inevitable when the corruption was cleaned up. Dome went into Kazakhstan and paid a 10,000,000 dollar bribe to certain Kazakhstani politicians. They were discovered and kicked out. They had to plead to get their 25 million dollar legitimate deposit back but had to forgo the bribe. Why are these directors still in office?

Don't believe the propaganda.

No liberal voted the against the Hepatitis C bill to limit the compensation to the people they poisoned. They threatened them with being kicked out if they had a conscience. Why are these people still in office?
