Well, if you can locate someone with level 2 access on SI ... then you can find out who the MM is. Then you can call the offices of that brokerage or whatever sort of financial firm it is and speak to teh actual market maker and ask the guy, why do you make the bid 50% lower than the ask.

And no that is not sarcastic, you can actually call the MM firms and speak to them about a stock.

I think the main problem here is we seem to have only 1 MM. And until that is taken care of you will see no change... sometimes he/she/it briefly puts the bid and ask close together, but usually it is about 40% difference. Personally, I dont care for my own investing because I only look at the ask of this stock. But I do care because it is scaring off *some* people from investing in the stock. And that peeves me.

And yes, I think you SHOULD preface your questions with "just for my information" because when I read them it gives me a sense that you are worried. So I am sure some others might have the same impression, especially people who are new to the thread. I am just too used to seeing people panicky on these SI threads when the MMs drop the bid and ask .20 or .30 for no reason... its very common on this exchange and people start going haywire and its annoying.
