I think management wanted to make a point that they will remain profitable after Y2K. Thats why they said that they will be growing into other fields. I didn't get the impression that this would happen at expense of Y2K revenue (that would be STUPID!!).

CEO & CFO need to get some training in handling a CC.

Now the question is what are they planning to do in terms of damage control?
