PLAINVIEW, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 1998--Aeroflex Incorporated (NYSE Symbol:ARX), announced today that
its subsidiary, Aeroflex Lintek, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $10 million from Hughes Space and
Communications for next generation communication satellite test equipment.

The contract is for nine systems that will be used to increase the speed of satellite test and integration and are deliverable over
approximately 18 months.

"This contract will increase Aeroflex's presence in the growing satellite testing business," said Leonard Borow, Executive Vice
