Of Course, You Can Count On SEEK Good News Just When...

I was getting tired. Okay, not confirmed yet, but it looks
like SEEK's gotten an upgrade... from hold to buy by CS First
Boston. At least, that's what I just heard. Confirmation to
come later.

I don't know if that changes the portfolio gameplan...

Just so everybody knows:

* Within two weeks, SEEK will announce, most likely,
its newest purchase of an online community.

* SEEK's got deals in the pipeline--fairly significant
channel sponsorship stuff.

* The NSCP resolution--which could or could not be
SEEK-friendly will probably play itself out in the next
two weeks.

That's why I originally suggested "an inside three
weeks" scenario for getting out of the SEEK position.

But, and I'm not trying to muddy the waters any muddier
than they already are, I think trimming the SEEK and XCIT
positions by 50% today remains a good play. We don't NEED
all the gravy. And it would be better, I think, to pocket
some of the still-fairly-good profits...

Best Regards,

c m
