Wrong Mohan. Ravi Batra isn't just a bear. His statements on the Indian economy have been brave, intelligent and lucid (for instance). His statements on the economic problems of America are quite visionary and one of the threads you note weyrich.com

is quitt "reactionary". I read the book and found it to be very sensible but his crusade is like pissing into the ocean and then trying to measure what he has just added. IMHO.

Interesting you should post this.

NB At the same time Batra was a super bear James Goldsmith and Soros were buying gold, the S&L's were unwinding and America looked in very poor shape.

The thing that Batra addresses in his book cited above is the impovrishment of America and Americans. In point of fact the world, literally the world at this moment is being floated by Americcan famlies credit card balances. Think about that.
