JP,
Your position is well taken, and your points well made, however, change positions for a minute, and look in the mirror.
The BULLS feel that they are making th points with the BEARS! The feel your points have been discounted, and attacks are flimsy.
They stick to their point.
-- you see -- the points of view become the discussion, and the market selects the winner. Currently DELL has been selected, and while it is true that CPQ has been a powerhouse in the past, and may again return, one cannot ignore the past performance of DELL when compared to CPQ.
Your last sentence:
>>Case and Point, Just because CPQ grew unit sales 38% Y/Y and had virtually 0% revenue growth does not mean that DELL should be bought.<<
This does not mean that DELL should be SOLD either.
Since 3/11/98 (my current tracking) DELL is up 21.29% and CPQ is up 8.07% - which one would YOU rather have in your portfolio? and why?
Regards,
