JP,
I, for one, NEVER wants DELL to pay a DIVIDEND. The reason is simple, I cannot control my tax liability on a dividend, whereas, if I sell a stock, I determine when the tax liability will occur.
I don't agree that the PC life cycle is near the end. I took that position with the 386 after the 387 mathcoprocessor was added! How wrong I was then, so I temper my prognostications accordingly.
I see you have left yourself a 'bit' of an out:
>> When the cycle does end, weather today or in 100 years, Dell and many others will end up in the same place, The source of funds list. <<
Does this mean that anytime DELL goes DOWN within the NEXT 100 YEARS, you will have been correct? YOU WIN - THE STOCK WILL DEFINITELY GO DOWN WITHIN THE NEXT 100 YEARS. ( It will also probably go UP!)
Have a great day,
